Delivery

Every piece of equipment sold by Lisson HiFi is unique. Vintage HiFi components are often heavy, delicate and irreplaceable, requiring careful handling and packaging to ensure they arrive safely.

For this reason, delivery costs are not calculated automatically at checkout.

Packaging

Great care is taken when preparing equipment for transit. Wherever possible, items are securely packed using premium protective materials to minimise the risk of damage during transport.

Packaging is considered an essential part of the service and is never treated as an afterthought.

Melbourne Delivery

Local delivery is available throughout Melbourne by arrangement.

Delivery fees are determined by distance and the size of the item. In many cases, personal delivery is the safest option for larger loudspeakers or particularly valuable equipment.

Collection

Local collection is also welcome by appointment.

Shipping

If shipping is required, please get in touch before completing your purchase. A personalised shipping quote will be provided based on the item's size, weight, value and destination.

Every shipment is individually assessed to ensure the safest and most appropriate shipping method is used.

International shipping may also be available by prior arrangement. Customers wishing to purchase from outside Australia are encouraged to contact Lisson HiFi before placing an order to discuss available freight options, estimated costs and any applicable import duties, taxes or customs requirements.

Any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees or other charges imposed by the destination country remain the responsibility of the purchaser.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Title to goods remains with Lisson HiFi until payment has been received in full. Risk passes to the purchaser upon delivery to the nominated address.

Customers are responsible for ensuring delivery details are accurate and that suitable arrangements are made to receive the goods.

Transit Damage

Every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure equipment arrives safely. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged during transit, please contact Lisson HiFi as soon as possible and retain all packaging materials so a claim can be lodged with the carrier if required.

For any questions regarding shipping, delivery or collection, please don't hesitate to get in touch before purchasing.

Warranty & Returns Policy

At Lisson HiFi, every piece of equipment is carefully inspected, tested and honestly described before being offered for sale. As a specialist in vintage audio equipment, each component carries a unique history and should be purchased with the understanding that age-related wear and cosmetic imperfections may be present.

This policy operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing contained within this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the ACL.

30-Day Warranty

Lisson HiFi provides a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery against faults that were not disclosed prior to sale and are not the result of misuse, accidental damage, incorrect operation, modification, or normal wear associated with vintage equipment.

Should a fault arise within this period, please make contact as soon as possible with proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Photographs or videos may be requested to assist with the assessment.

Where appropriate, one of the following remedies will be provided:

  • Repair of the item

  • Refund

The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the fault and the rights afforded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Vintage Equipment

The equipment offered by Lisson HiFi is often several decades old. While every effort is made to ensure reliable operation, vintage electronics require periodic servicing throughout their lifetime.

Minor cosmetic wear, age-related patina and characteristics that have been clearly described or shown in product photographs are considered part of the item's history and are not regarded as faults.

Product descriptions and photographs form part of the sale, and customers are encouraged to review them carefully before purchasing. Questions are always welcome prior to purchase.

Returns Not Accepted

Returns will not be accepted where:

  • The purchase is no longer wanted or has been made in error.

  • A lower price has been found elsewhere.

  • The fault or cosmetic condition was disclosed prior to purchase.

  • The item has been misused, modified, improperly installed or damaged after delivery.

  • Damage has resulted from incorrect voltage, improper transportation, unauthorised repairs or failure to follow reasonable operating instructions.

  • Normal age-related wear or servicing requirements associated with vintage equipment are present.

Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law, customers are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund where a product has a major failure or does not meet the applicable consumer guarantees.

Where a failure is considered minor, Lisson HiFi may elect to repair the item within a reasonable timeframe before offering an alternative remedy.

Return Process

Please contact Lisson HiFi before returning any item. In many cases, issues can be resolved without requiring the equipment to be returned.

If a return is necessary, return instructions will be provided.

Where a return is approved due to a fault covered by the Australian Consumer Law or the Lisson HiFi 30-day warranty, reasonable return shipping costs will be covered or reimbursed.

Commitment to Quality

Vintage HiFi equipment was built to provide decades of enjoyment, however no electronic component can be guaranteed to operate indefinitely.

Every item sold by Lisson HiFi is carefully selected, thoroughly assessed and represented as accurately as possible. Should an issue arise, every effort will be made to reach a fair and reasonable outcome that reflects both the spirit of exceptional customer service and the obligations of the Australian Consumer Law.
